ZzCc - Artist Residency and Performance
ZzCc is a mixed-music duo based in Montreal/Quebec City which focuses on mixed music compositions using augmented prepared piano, automated unconventional instruments, bassoon and live electronics to unlock a more acute perception of their sonic potential.
Sonia Paço-Rocchia has been developing her “Alloyata Automata Orchestra” of automated unconventional instruments since her 2015 artist residency at “Chambre Blanche” in Quebec City. Anoush Moazzeni, for her part, has been expanding a personal performance system called “Piano+/ Augmented Prepared Piano” exploring the electronic manipulation of the acoustic sounds of the instrument.
This collaboration between Anoush Moazzeni and Sonia Paço-Rocchia was the first Artist Residency for collaborative research for the Cannery at South Penobscot and concluded with their performance on August 26th at The Cannery at South Penobscot.
